dc.description.abstract Lands Commission (LC) cannot be mentioned without the tag of record manipulation, inefficiency and ineffectiveness. This is due to the manual nature at which duties are conducted at the records office under the Public and Vested Land Management Division, tasked to manage all records for the LC and retrieves or update when necessary. In order to achieve the vision and mission of the organisation, this research was sought to develop a Geospatial Land Records Management System for the LC, Tamale in QGIS environment where all land records such as Ledgers, Registers, Town Sheets, Maps and Layouts could be integrated through Georeferencing and Digitisation process. The system allows easy query of records by entering the site coordinates, generates search report, views layouts, views document in PDF and also allows the updating of records by just a click of a button instead of going through the old fashion method of combing through manual document before carrying out this same task. The system when adopted and implemented, would improve the work of the institution as speed, efficiency and security is assured. en_US
