dc.description.abstract The goal of this study was to evaluate the variables factors influencing procurement planning using the electricity company of Ghana, Accra Metropolis as a case study. The study delivered 120 questionnaires to personnel in the Procurement/ Supply Chain and Accounts/ Administrative departments across 14 workstations/branches in Accra in order to attain this goal. IBM SPSS version 25 was used to examine the data that was gathered. According to the results, most ECG employees are aware with the procurement procedure. Additionally, respondents concur that the company frequently makes investments in programs for staff training and development. Employees at the branch level said they are capable of following orders from their head office and handling client complaints in the permitted amount of time. Furthermore, the results show that the organization's procurement actions are motivated by the demands put forth by various user departments. Following the identification of these requirements, choices are made regarding the best way to procure the commodities in compliance with any applicable corporate policies. The study finds that the elements of procurement planning and procurement planning have a high and substantial link, with each independent variable having a p-value of no more than 0.001 (p0.0000.001). In order to achieve this, firms should create an organizational framework that outlines the skills and abilities required of every member of the procurement planning team. The skills evaluation, identification of training and development needs, and career counseling services will provide people a stronger sense of control over their own growth. The framework should also make sure that existing personal development tools within a company are enhanced rather than changed by new ones. Since management support is crucial for successful procurement planning, top management should assist the procurement division by investing more funds and promoting staff training to advance employees' abilities. The study also suggests that the organization prioritize and enhance the budget in terms of timing and sufficiency, as well as make sure that the budget satisfies the organization's requirements in terms of staff competency, training, and general procurement procedures. en_US
